I’m sure you’re heard it before. Eating raw food is beneficial to your health, and great for weight loss, but how to start a raw food diet?
Before you start you must remember three important things:
First, eating a raw food diet is the easiest way to remove fat from your diet.
Second, it is the quickest way to lose weight.
Third, you don’t need to starve yourself and you will never have that awful tired feeling of overeating.
It’s the perfect medium and it will benefit you on the outside as well as the inside.
But, what if you don’t fancy eating lettuce all day long, like a rabbit?
What if you don’t want to completely give up all those things you love?
Is there a way of having it both ways?
This is exactly why we developed our own version (we call it the partly raw food diet).
It didn’t take years of study to work out, but you have to accept that if you do it our way it will take a little longer to achieve the weight loss you want.
Probably a better way is to go wiyh the raw food diet for a few weeks until you achieve your weight loss and then ease gently back into a more relaxed regime like ours.
It’s quite simple really. The basic diet is healthy. The principle is that you stick to raw food during the day. In the evening you can have a cooked meal.
The secret is not to give up your favourite foods, but to eat them ocassionally and in moderation.
The Partly Raw Food Diet utilises fresh fruit and vegetables for breakfast and lunch. If you need to snack between meals, eat an apple, some other fruit or even dried fruit. We still eat cooked foods for dinner, but tend to go for a freshly- prepared stir-fry or similar. The important thing for us is to avoid ready prepared meals and other processed foods. We also try to apply the principle of food combining. In other words, if we are having protein for dinner (for example chicken) we do not then eat loads fo bread with it. (We’ll discuss food combining in another article).
The first thing you need to do is get yourself in the right frame of mind. This diet is not magic, but it will work if you stick with it. One thing about our diet is that whilst we have a formula to follow, it is not set in concrete. We tend to eat fish or chicken, but that does not mean we cannot eat pork or lamb. We just do it ocassionally in moderation. If you fancy ice-cream then eat it, just don’t do it every day and expect to lose weight!
To get the quickest results, I suggest you need to clear some of your cupboards! Get rid of all processed and junk foods. Say goodbye to white bread, white pasta, cereals, white rice, processed soy products, potato chips, etc. Introduce whole foods to your diet instead. Examples include whole grains, honey, fresh fruit, fresh vegetables and dried fruits. Wholemeal bread, wholemeal pasta etc. are fine.
You can start full on, or if you prefer, you can start slowly, gradually replacing bad foods with good. Add more and more raw foods to your diet all of the time. This should encourage the colon cleansing process as well as paving the road to a more slender you.
To get the best from your new raw food lifestyle, you should include some exercise as well. This does not mean you have to spend hours in the gym. You will be able to find more about exercise in the exercise category.
